Are we allowed to mention the fact that we are part of this correspondence course in our personal statement
I'm only asking this because I seem to remember something like "the correspondence course will not be taken into account when applying to Cambridge"
so I don't really want it to be detrimental to my application

We were saying that we will not talk to admissions officers (so Fred Bloggs is useless / brilliant / a duck).
Feel free to mention it (it shows an interest in maths outside of your A-level studies), but make sure that you show other ways in which you are interested in maths as well.
